The Q-ZAR Brief

1.        I would like to welcome everyone to Q-ZAR my name is………I will be the marshal for today’s   game.

2.        The game you’re going to play is called energize 6.  The object of the game is to score as many points for yourself and your team as possible.  You do this by tagging your opponents and deactivating the opposing teams Headquarters.

3.        When putting on the Q-ZAR vest, make sure the large panel is in the front and the small rectangular panel is in the back.  The laser strap goes over your head and through one arm.

4.        On the back of each laser you will see a display panel, this shows a number on the top and a U on the bottom.  The number on the top is your laser number and you must remember it to get you’re score at the end of the game.  The U means that your laser is unenergized.

5.        In order to energize your laser you must find your own team colored energizer and put your laser over the outline.  Once you are energized you’re pack will light up with lights and your display panel will show two numbers, a 6 on the top and 20 on the bottom.  The 6 means you can be tagged 6 times before having to return to the energizer, the 20 means you have unlimited tags.

6.        There are 5 places on the pack to tag you’re opponent:

*Front Panel       *Back Panel

*Either side of the laser    *Or down the top barrel

7.        There are 3 things that will happen to you once you’ve been tagged:

*The front panel will start vibrating

*Your yellow tag lights will start flashing

*And you’re laser will speak to you:

The fist thing it will say is “Defense Shields Active Active”  this means that you have 3 seconds where you cannot tag your opponents and your opponents cannot tag you.  This is the safety period and this is the best time to hide.

Then your yellow tag lights will go to solid yellow and your laser will say “Warning, Warning, Warning” this means that you’re opponents can tag you but you cannot tag them back.

8.        After the 6th time being tagged your laser will speak to you and it will say “Return to Energizer” so, at that time you must return to your own team colored energizer one more time to re-energize.

9.        At the end of the game your laser will speak to you and it will say “Game Over, Return To Energizer.”  So, just re-energize your laser one last time before returning to the vesting room.

10.     The way to score the maximum amount of points is to locate the opposing teams Headquarters, find the orange laser lit tube, tag it once wait 5 seconds and tag it again or keep tagging it until you get a strobe light and a siren.  This means you’ve successfully deactivating the Headquarters.  You can deactivate the opposing teams’ headquarters as often as you can, simply wait until the strobe light stops flashing.  The person who tags the Headquarters the first time must tag it the second time.  If you do not hear a siren and see a strobe light flash, then you have not scored any points.

11.     Does anyone have any questions?

(Bring the second call players into the briefing)

In order to play the game safely there are six rules that must be abided by at all times!!

1.        No Climbing on the Obstacles

2.        Walk Only –No power walking

3.        No Physical Contact –The lasers travel over 70 feet and work better if you are two feet or more from your opponent

4.        Hold You’re Laser With Two Hands –Your thumb and index finger must be on the handles at all times

5.        Have fun

6.        No Foul Language

If you break the rules at any time you will be removed from the arena and not be allowed to finish you’re game.

Should there be any emergency, the house lights will come on.  Don’t panic, leave the Q-ZAR gear on and make your way to one of the exits where myself or a Q-ZAR Manager will instruct you further.

If anyone has Asthma, Epilepsy, or Claustrophobia please see me on you’re way to the vesting room.  This should not affect you’re game, I would just like to give you some safety tips.

 Does anyone have any questions?
